Carrier cutoff exceptions: a short list for packing leads
Which late-carrier signals belong in the daily fulfillment brief and which can wait for the weekly meeting.
Packing leads do not need every late scan. They need the exceptions that change today’s labor and tomorrow’s promise dates.
Daily brief list
Include carriers that missed cutoff with orders still in packing, doors waiting on no-shows, and any cutoff moved by the transport desk after 14:00. That set drives overtime and wave planning.
Weekly meeting list
Trend of missed cutoffs by carrier, recurring appointment slips, and SKU families that repeatedly miss the same truck belong in the weekly pack — not on the packing wall.
Keep codes human
If your transport desk uses internal carrier codes, print the spoken name beside the code on the brief. Neuron Tempohub fulfillment briefs always carry both after one packing lead asked what “CX-04” meant on a Monday morning.
